As a Cyber Analyst, you will be tasked with investigating and communicating with our customers on cyber operations and how Darktrace has positively impacted our clients’ businesses. You will be in the thick of the action, analysing technical data to identify potential cyber threats and give our clients the peace of mind that they are protected by the Darktrace platform. This is a diverse role that will see you making quick decisions in a SOC focused role, along with deep diving and conducting research into emerging threats, whilst also providing customers bespoke consultancy on their security workflows.

You'll be given extensive training and support as you develop in the role. Due to the nature of an ever-changing environment, we’re looking for someone who has a keen eye for detail, and strong deduction capabilities to analyse and problem solve issues that may arise. As a company that prides ourselves on our reactive capabilities, we are looking for someone who is able to work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a diverse team.

Expectations would be to work a minimum of 2 days a week in the Hague office.

Responsibilities

  • Use the Darktrace platform and supporting tools to investigate alerts and write reports
  • Perform real-time and retrospective analysis for ongoing incidents on the SOC
  • Clearly communicate (both written and verbally) critical information to customer queries
  • Identify threat trends and investigate campaigns across Darktrace’s customer environments
  • Share knowledge internally and externally, such as producing technical blog posts, about interesting incidents or network finds
  • Confidently represent Analyst work and cyber security principles both internally and externally as required
  • Pro-actively monitoring and staying up to date with the latest developments and trends in cybersecurity
  • Become a technical expert for customer facing engagements, sharing best practices and supporting customers in their adoption of the Darktrace platform
  • Share best practices and support customers in their adoption and usage of the Darktrace platform
  • Contribute to the development of Darktrace and how it functions
  • Maintain the highest standards of customer and business data security

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills, including both oral and written with credible presentation skills.
  • A team player with demonstrable aptitude at sharing knowledge and mentoring.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with strong proven analytical, problem solving and time management skills.
  • Fluent English is required for this role.
  • Willing and able to travel to and work in local office two days a week during established work hours

Preferable:

  • Background in Science, Engineering or Computer Science
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent
  • Additional IT and Cyber certifications
  • Experience in cyber security or related field
