Description

The Senior Revenue/Reporting Accountant will assume responsibility for monitoring the entire revenue cycle, while also playing a key role in corporate financial reporting. This role offers a high-impact opportunity to collaborate with other departments while strengthening accounting operations in a growing SaaS company.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage all phases of revenue recognition, including execution of month-end close activities related to revenue, deferred revenue and commissions, journal entries, reconciliations and reporting.
  • Support audits by providing necessary documentation.
  • Work closely with the Controller and Chief Financial Offer to provide the company with relevant and informative financial reporting by analyzing company results and comparing them to budgets, forecasts, and historical performance.
  • Prepare timely compliance reporting requirements for the company’s banks, owners, and other external parties as required on a monthly basis and review such reports with financial management before release to requiring constituents.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
  • SaaS industry experience required, with strong understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition
  • Strong technical accounting background and familiarity with modern finance systems, experience with management reporting tools a plus
  • Competency with excel and movement of data between excel and reporting tools
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to efficiently summarize and communicate key findings in with clear and concise communication.

  • Remote position but preference for Dallas/Fort Worth area for occasional in-office requirements
