Strategic Advisor, Third-Party Risk & Customer Engagement

We’re seeking a strategic and customer-facing Strategic Advisor for Third-Party Risk Management and Customer Engagement to be the face of our TPRM vision with prospective and existing customers. This role combines subject matter expertise with business development skills, strategic consulting, and executive-level communications to influence buying decisions, build thought leadership, and strengthen our go-to-market impact.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Engage with boards, C-level executives, risk and compliance leaders, and TPRM practitioners to communicate the value of HITRUST’s solution and help drive customer success and adoption
- Act as a subject matter expert and strategic advisor on third-party risk management across sales, marketing, and customer success efforts
- Represent HITRUST at customer meetings, executive briefings, webinars, and industry events to build brand awareness and generate opportunities
- Maintain a deep understanding of TPRM trends, frameworks, and regulatory expectations across industries
- Provide actionable insights to product and marketing teams based on market trends and customer conversations
- Build and maintain strong executive-level relationships across enterprises
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in third-party risk management, vendor risk, or enterprise risk consulting
- Strong customer-facing experience, ideally in sales, business development, or advisory services
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a track record of influencing stakeholders and driving business outcomes
- Knowledge of third-party risk technologies and regulatory environments
- Ability to travel as needed, up to 25%
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with HITRUST CSF or another security framework methodology, such as NIST, ISO, COBIT, etc.
- Background in SaaS or enterprise B2B
- Recognized industry presence (e.g. speaker at conferences, published content, etc.)
