Job Description: Manager - Client Services
Overview:
This role will be responsible for leading and managing the PMO team, ensuring the successful delivery of projects and programs aligned with the strategic goals of the business unit. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills to drive efficiency, manage risks, and ensure the achievement of project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Strategy:
- Develop and implement PMO strategies, methodologies, and best practices that align with BU's strategic objectives.
- Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to the PMO team, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement.
2. Project Management:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of all projects within the MedComm BU, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Ensure project objectives are met by monitoring project progress, identifying and mitigating risks, and resolving issues promptly.
3. Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with senior management, department heads, and key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for project initiatives.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between project teams and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and performance.
4. Resource Management:
- Manage and allocate resources effectively to support project needs, ensuring optimal utilization of PMO team members and other resources.
- Identify resource gaps and work with HR and other departments to recruit, train, and develop PMO staff.
5. Quality Assurance:
- Implement and maintain project management standards, processes, and tools to ensure consistency and quality across all projects.
- Conduct regular project audits and reviews to ensure adherence to PMO standards and best practices.
6. Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the PMO budget, ensuring financial discipline and alignment with organizational financial goals.
- Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and report on financial performance to senior management.
7. Performance Measurement:
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the PMO and its projects.
- Provide regular reports and dashboards to senior management on project performance, risks, and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. PMP certification is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or medical communications industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and leading high-performing teams.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
