Role: Manager Digital Transformation
Description:
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Manager of Digital Transformation to lead strategic initiatives that modernize and digitize our pharmaceutical operations. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in transforming business processes, driving innovation, and ensuring the successful adoption of digital technologies to optimize R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, and patient engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Strategy and Execution
Develop and execute digital transformation strategies to enhance operational efficiency and business outcomes.
Lead cross-functional initiatives to implement new digital tools and technologies in R&D, production, and distribution.
Identify opportunities for digital innovation in areas such as precision medicine, clinical trials, and patient services.
Process Optimization and Innovation
Drive process automation and data-driven decision-making by leveraging technologies such as AI, ML, IoT, and blockchain.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to digitize production workflows, implement predictive maintenance, and enhance quality control.
Oversee digitalization efforts in clinical trials, including eConsent, remote monitoring, and virtual trials.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with R&D, supply chain, IT, and commercial teams to align digital initiatives with business objectives.
Partner with regulatory and compliance teams to ensure all digital solutions adhere to industry regulations (FDA, EMA, GDPR, etc.).
Collaborate with external technology vendors and consultants to deliver innovative solutions.
Team Leadership and Change Management
Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of digital transformation specialists, business analysts, and data scientists.
Drive change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of digital tools and processes across the organization.
Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
Establish KPIs to track the impact of digital transformation initiatives on operational efficiency, cost savings, and patient outcomes.
Regularly present updates and insights to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree (MBA or similar) is preferred.
Experience:
8+ years of experience in digital transformation, project management, or related roles, with at least 3 years in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
Proven track record of leading successful digital transformation initiatives.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of technologies like AI/ML, IoT, cloud computing, RPA (Robotic Process Automation), and data analytics.
Familiarity with pharmaceutical industry-specific technologies like LIMS, MES, and ERP systems.
Soft Skills:
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in Agile, PMP, or Lean Six Sigma.
Experience with digital tools and platforms specific to pharmaceuticals (e.g., Veeva, SAP, TrackWise).
Knowledge of regulatory compliance in digital implementations, such as GxP and 21 CFR Part 11.
