Job Description: Associate Manager – Brand Management

We are seeking an Associate Manager – Brand Management to drive the strategic planning and execution of brand marketing initiatives for pharmaceutical and healthcare clients. This role goes beyond campaign execution, focusing on customer journey design, channel mix development, adoption ladder planning, and key message strategy. The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of experience in pharma marketing, with expertise in omnichannel strategy, brand storytelling, and internal brand leadership.

Key Responsibilities

1. Brand Strategy & Planning

Develop brand strategies aligned with therapeutic area needs and market opportunities.

Design customer journeys that map HCP/patient decision-making across awareness, consideration, adoption, and advocacy.

Create adoption ladder frameworks to guide HCP engagement from trial to sustained prescribing.

Build key message frameworks that evolve across the decision-making funnel.

2. Channel Mix & Omnichannel Strategy

Define the optimal channel mix (email, social, EHR, programmatic, search, field, etc.) to maximize engagement and impact.

Ensure content and creative are aligned to channel strengths and customer preferences.

Partner with analytics to continuously optimize channel allocation and ROI.

3. Performance & Insights

Own brand-level KPIs such as awareness, adoption, conversion, and advocacy.

Lead brand performance reviews and translate campaign results into growth insights.

Recommend optimizations based on competitive intelligence and customer data.

4. Team Leadership & Development

Mentor junior associates on brand strategy, messaging, and customer journey planning.

Champion best practices in brand storytelling, adoption ladder design, and channel planning.

5. Compliance & Market Alignment

Ensure all brand initiatives comply with regulatory requirements (FDA, HIPAA, etc.).

Stay updated on industry trends, HCP behavior shifts, and innovations in healthcare marketing.

Qualifications

Experience

5–7 years in brand management, omnichannel marketing, or pharma/healthcare marketing.

Demonstrated expertise in customer journey design, channel mix planning, and key message strategy.

Skills

Strategic thinker with ability to link brand objectives to tactical execution.

Proficiency in omnichannel marketing, analytics, and storytelling.

Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

People leadership/mentorship experience is a plus.

Education

Bachelor’s/Master’s in Marketing, Business, Communications, or Life Sciences.

Certifications in digital marketing, brand strategy, or project management are a plus.

Good to have

• Problem solving and business acumen

· Understands the problem from multiple dimensions. Solves problems in a timely fashion by generating and assessing options, evaluating implications and implementing solutions thoroughly
· Identifies and executes financial drivers of own function to enhance profitability/productivity/ market share for business growth
· Continuously seeks information from current clients and prospects to understand emerging needs and make meaningful interpretations

Must have:

Nice to have:
• Qualification: MBA
• Min 6-10 yrs. of exp in Project management & 5+yrs of exp in client facing role
• Superior communication skills
• Should have managed large teams
• Proficient in financial concepts.
• Life science / pharma background would be mandatory
• Ability to deal with multiple stake holders and manage client’s expectations
• Ability to take initiatives with excellent interpersonal skills
• Good negotiation skills
• Passion for networking and updating oneself with the latest market trends and relate it to identifying business opportunities
• Structured thinking and articulation
• Ability to manage pressure and work with multiple stakeholders "
