Must Have

Role: Salesforce Marketing Cloud Operations Lead

NOTE: This position is for Mexico.

Description:
We are hiring a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Operations Lead to serve as the technical expert and backend owner of our email marketing infrastructure. While this role may occasionally provide guidance to our Content Production Center (CPC) on email and journey builds, its primary focus is on backend operations within Salesforce Marketing Cloud—including managing automations, creating and maintaining data extensions, and ensuring seamless technical execution of campaigns. The ideal candidate will have deep platform expertise, strong operational discipline, and the ability to translate campaign requirements into scalable, automated solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Operations & Execution
• Own backend operations within Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, and Contact Builder.
• Provide hands-on guidance to CPC teams on how to build, configure, and QA email campaigns and customer journeys.
• Ensure technical accuracy and consistency across campaign builds, including audience targeting, personalization, and automation logic.
• Manage audience segmentation strategies across multiple business units or regions.
• Maintain and optimize data extensions, subscriber relationships, and audience segmentation strategies.

Technical Oversight & Enablement
• Act as the subject matter expert for SFMC capabilities, best practices, and platform governance.
• Review campaign briefs and Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with platform capabilities.
• Troubleshoot issues related to campaign execution, data flows, and platform performance.
• Monitor data hygiene, compliance, and deliverability across campaigns.

Data & Integration Management
• Collaborate with CRM, data, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration between SFMC and external systems (e.g., NBA, Salesforce CRM, Website, 3rd party promotional platforms).
• Manage SQL queries, AMPscript, and automations to support dynamic content and audience logic.
• Monitor data hygiene, compliance, and deliverability across campaigns.

Qualifications
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, and Contact Builder.
• Deep knowledge of AMPscript, SQL, and SSJS for email development, journey building, and manipulation of data.
• Strong proficiency in developing automations, lifecycle journeys, and personalization strategies.
• Ability to interpret campaign requirements and translate them into technical execution plans.

Preferred Skills
• Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer or Email Specialist Certification.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize backend processes for performance and scalability.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
