The Job
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Engineering Manager to lead some of the growing engineering teams. As an Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing and developing a highly skilled group of engineers, driving product development, and contributing to the overall success of the company. You will lead by example, inspire creativity, and foster a culture of innovation within the engineering department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Provide strong leadership to the engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and guide team members, helping them grow professionally and achieve their career goals.
- Conduct regular feedback reviews, mentor effectively and set objectives to drive high performance, growth and engagement.
- Product Development and Strategy:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product roadmaps and ensure alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
- Drive the development and execution of engineering projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality, and budget requirements.
- Champion agile methodologies to enhance product delivery efficiency and facilitate rapid iterations.
- Technical Excellence:
- Maintain a deep understanding of our technology stack and product architecture, enabling effective decision-making and technical guidance.
- Oversee the technical design and implementation of features, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and scalability requirements.
- Act as a technical advisor to the team, providing insights and recommendations to overcome complex technical challenges.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Effectively communicate engineering updates, progress, and challenges to key stakeholders, including executive leadership and product managers.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize features, address concerns, and ensure that engineering efforts align with business objectives and user needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a leadership role, managing engineering teams and delivering successful products in a fast-paced, high-tech startup environment.
- Strong technical background with proficiency in relevant programming languages and technologies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Deep technical expertise and understanding of software development principles and methodologies.
