The Position:
OSPWAT is looking for an experienced Software Engineering Manager for the MetaDefender Endpoint Security SDK involving 3 sub-teams delivering different feature sets. You will work closely with team members from product development, product management, design, and sales engineering to deliver high-quality products, on-time, in a fast-moving space.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Planning and executing strategies for completing products on time.
- Supervising the work of multiple teams.
- Partner with Product Management and Business Development team to develop, lead and execute an appropriate strategy for the next generation of technology across different platforms.
- Coach engineers by best practices and help them grow.
- Be both highly technical and an effective people manager.
- Management experience and ability to set direction and develop the team.
- Drive roadmap creation and execution.
- Collaborate with various functions, drive engineering initiatives and have an impact at an organizational level.
- Work effectively with cross functional partners and stakeholders to set and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Lead teams that deliver multiple high-quality features.
What We Need from You:
- 2+ years of experience as a Software Engineering Manager or similar role.
- 4+ years of experience coding in one of the following languages: C++, Java, C#, Python, PHP.
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working with technical and non-technical teams.
- Excellent English communication skills via multiple channels (Confluence, Jira, Outlook, Teams).
- Experience managing and successfully delivering software development products.
- Must be self-motivated and have a proven ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
- Know what you do not know.
It Would Be Nice If You Had
- BSc/BA in IT or similar field.
- Experience in full product development cycle including design, development, testing and deployment
- Product Management and Engineering background
- Experience with Agile / Scrum working environment
