The Position

We seek a dedicated and experienced Quality Control Supervisor to oversee the development and maturity of our internal Supply Chain.

The ideal candidate will be a general expert in leading and managing a Quality Control program, emphasizing hardware fulfillment, from servers and desktops to IoT hardware. You will understand how hardware integrates to make a system, including discovering bottlenecks and performance issues with recommendations to improve our processes.

You will oversee documentation for internal, government, and oversight agencies and maintain a hardware and technical library for other internal departments that rely on this data.

This is an in-office position based in our Tampa office.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Quality Control Program Supervisor for our hardware that supports OPSWAT's cutting-edge cybersecurity software, you will:

  • Develop and Implement Quality Control Procedures: Design and execute comprehensive quality control plans to ensure our hardware meets the highest performance and reliability standards.
  • Conduct Thorough Testing: Lead the testing process, including functional, performance, and stress tests, to identify and resolve issues with our hardware products.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with engineering, product management, and software development teams to integrate quality control processes seamlessly into the product lifecycle.
  • Analyze and Report Data: Collect and analyze test data, generating detailed reports and metrics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure all hardware products comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant certifications and guidelines.
  • Manage OPSWAT’s Fulfillment Team: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of fulfillment specialists, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the quality control function.

What We Need From You

  • 5+ Years of Experience in Quality Control: Proven experience in quality control, preferably in the hardware or cybersecurity industry. Experience with electronic hardware and embedded systems is highly desirable.
  • Strong Knowledge of Testing Methodologies: In-depth understanding of various testing methodologies, tools, and best practices for hardware products. Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and tools.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues effectively. Proficiency in data analysis and statistical methods.
  • Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to ensuring the highest standards of quality and accuracy in all aspects of work. Ability to create detailed documentation and reports.
  • Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities. Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders verbally and in writing. Experience presenting technical information to senior leadership.

It Would Be Nice If You Had

  • Familiarity with Cybersecurity Software: Experience working with hardware that supports cybersecurity solutions is a plus. Understanding of cybersecurity principles and threat landscapes.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in leading cross-functional projects and teams.
  • Certification in Quality Management: Certifications such as Six Sigma, ISO 9001, or similar are advantageous. Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
