The Position

We are seeking a talented and experienced CloudOps/DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team at Sandbox. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security. This role requires expertise in AWS services, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, testing frameworks, monitoring, and logging solutions. Additionally, experience with Argo, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and production support is highly advantageous.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Participate in on-call rotation for production incident response and resolution if that will be necessary.
  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation, leveraging services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and more.
  • Implement and maintain Kubernetes clusters for container orchestration, ensuring scalability and high availability.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated software delivery and deployment.
  • Manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation for provisioning and configuration management.
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Implement monitoring and logging solutions using tools such as OpenTelemetry and OpenSearch.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot infrastructure issues, implementing solutions to ensure system reliability and uptime.
  • Provide production support and troubleshooting, resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime.

What We Need from You

  • 3+ years of proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a strong focus on AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience with Kubernetes administration and containerization concepts.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and hands-on experience with related tools (git, TeamCity)
  • Good experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
  • Experience with Linux systems
  • Strong knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues efficiently.
  • Experience with production support and incident response. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

It Would Be Nice If You Have

  • Experience in TCP/IP network stack
  • Cybersecurity background or understanding in the field
