The Position:
OSPWAT is looking for an experienced Engineering Operations Manager for the Sandbox product team, focusing on managing quality assurance, cloud operations and the overall operations of the product. The incumbent will report to the CTO, Threat Analysis while working closely with team members from product development, product management, design, and sales engineering across OPSWAT global to deliver high-quality products, on-time, in a fast-moving space.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Plan and execute strategies for product operations and quality management.
- Oversee daily operations, monitoring cloud systems' performance, and developing strategies for effective cloud service management.
- Design and implement policies and procedures for testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Observe and recommend improvements to ensure performance and avoid potential pitfalls over time.
- Optimize and govern platform resource usage
- Collaborate with various functions, drive engineering initiatives and have an impact at an organizational level.
- Work effectively with cross functional partners and stakeholders to set and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Supervise and lead diverse teams in the Quality Hub to deliver multiple high-quality features. Ability to set direction, provide regular coaching & mentoring with best practices to help them grow.
- Be both highly technical and an effective people manager.
What We Need from You:
- BSc/BA in IT or related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineering Manager or Engineering Operations Manager or similar role.
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working with technical and non-technical teams.
- Excellent English communication skills via multiple channels (Confluence, Jira, Outlook, Teams).
- Experience managing and successfully delivering software development products.
- Self-motivated and have a proven ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
It Would Be Nice If You Had
- Experience in full product development cycle including design, development, testing and deployment.
- Product Management and Engineering background.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum working environment.
