This role is ideal for candidates who thrive at the intersection of legal expertise and operational excellence, optimizing legal processes, implementing legal tech solutions, increasing compliance and driving efficiency in a growing legal department.
What You Will Be Doing
- Provide legal guidance on corporate governance, compliance, and operational processes to cross-functional teams.
- Manage and oversee OPSWAT’s global corporate entities, ensuring compliance with local governance and employment requirements.
- Optimize legal department operations, including matter management, contract lifecycle management, workflow automation, and knowledge management.
- Continuously improve contract templates, playbooks, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to drive legal initiatives forward.
- Play an active role in enhancing OPSWAT’s Corporate Responsibility Program.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of corporate and vendor agreements.
- Handle ad-hoc legal and operational projects as business needs evolve.
What We Need From You
- 2-4 years of corporate/commercial experience, preferably with a combination of law firm and in-house experience.
- JD degree from an accredited law school.
- On-site presence: 5 days in the office and willingness to work flexible hours to support OPSWAT’s global needs.
- Adaptability and resilience: Growth mindset, comfortable working in a global and multicultural setting.
- Problem-solving mindset: Proactive approach to problem-solving with ability to exercise sound judgment and thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure situations.
- Strong team player with excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills: Ability to multitask, manage projects and priorities, and maintain attention to detail.
- Initiative & ownership: Self-starter mindset with a willingness to go beyond assigned tasks and drive initiatives forward.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Experience with Legal Operations (i.e. contract management systems or workflow automation tools), Compliance, or Employment Law is a strong advantage.
