The Position

At OPSWAT, we’re on a mission to protect the world’s most critical infrastructure. As a U.S.-based cybersecurity leader, we’re expanding our R&D footprint in Hungary — and we’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our team working on one of our most strategic solutions: MetaDefender Secure Managed File Transfer (MFT).

MetaDefender Secure MFT empowers enterprises to securely transfer sensitive files across systems, networks, and borders. Trusted by governments and global organizations, we are at the heart of secure data movement — and we’re expanding its future in Veszprém.

You’ll take part in designing and building the backend services that power our secure file transfer platform, working closely with engineers, security experts, and researchers. As part of our cybersecurity-focused company, you will be developing cutting-edge software solutions that protect critical infrastructure from ever-evolving cyber threats. Your work will make a real impact—defending the digital front lines of industries, governments, and essential systems around the world.

What You Will be Doing

  • Implement new features of the product in an agile environment
  • Improve OPSWAT products in the Managed File Transfer category by implementing new business requirements
  • Participation in the design and architecture of emerging products
  • Review design specs/coding
  • Test automation

What We Need from You

  • Minimum 3-5 years C# programming experience
  • Familiarity with version management (preferably Git).
  • Skilled in test automation or eager to learn how to eliminate boring manual tasks
  • Good English skills
  • Open to learn new technologies every day and don’t be afraid to make mistakes
  • It’s good to have home/hobby project showing your commitment to programming
  • CI/CD experience is an advantage
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, K8s) is a plus
  • It’s nice to have experience with programming languages such us C++; Python; Node.js
  • Interest in Cloud solutions (AWS; Azure) is appreciated
