The Position
At OPSWAT, we’re on a mission to protect the world’s most critical infrastructure. As a U.S.-based cybersecurity leader, we’re expanding our R&D footprint in Hungary — and we’re looking for a Frontend Engineer to join our team working on one of our most strategic solutions: MetaDefender Secure Managed File Transfer (MFT).
MetaDefender Secure MFT empowers enterprises to securely transfer sensitive files across systems, networks, and borders. Trusted by governments and global organizations, we are at the heart of secure data movement — and we’re expanding its future in Veszprém.
You’ll take part in designing and building the frontend interface of our secure file transfer platform, working closely with UX designers, backend engineers, and security experts.

What You Will be Doing
- Contribute to the design and development of Visual Orchestration interfaces, enabling users to intuitively configure, manage, and monitor automated workflows within the cybersecurity platform
- Develop responsive and interactive user interfaces for our cybersecurity software products using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (Angular)
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to translate user requirements and design concepts into functional frontend components and features
- Collaborate with design and backend teams to ensure UI scalability, security, and performance across all supported platforms
- Focus on implementation and gradually take ownership of key UI components
- Implement frontend best practices, including modular code architecture, code reusability, performance optimization, and adherence to accessibility standards
- Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate frontend components with backend APIs, services, and data sources, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability
- Actively participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-up meetings, and retrospectives, to contribute to team goals and deliver high-quality software products
What We Need from You
- 3 years frontend development experience
- Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, CSS preprocessors (less/sass/scss), TypeScript and latest (ES6+) JavaScript standards
- Experience in JavaScript frontend frameworks (such as Angular, React, Vue.js)
- Good understanding of best practices of building cross-browser, device-independent interfaces and RESTful web services
- Open to learn new technologies every day
- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
- Good English communication for both speaking and writing
- Familiarity with Git and branching models is an advantage
- It’s good to have experience with Jira, Confluence
