OPSWAT, a global leader in IT, OT, and ICS critical infrastructure cybersecurity, delivers an end-to-end platform that gives public and private sector organizations and enterprises the critical advantage needed to protect their complex networks, secure their devices, and ensure compliance. Over the last 20 years our commitment to innovative technology has earned the trust of more than 1,700 organizations, governments, and institutions globally, solidifying our role in protecting the world’s critical infrastructure and securing our way of life.

About the Role

MetaDefender Kiosk is OPSWAT's security checkpoint for removable and peripheral media at the boundary of critical infrastructure - a combined hardware and software product, not a feature set. This role owns it end to end: vision, roadmap, hardware platform, security workflows, integration with My OPSWAT Central Management, certification and compliance, quality, cost, and commercial performance.

The Senior Product Manager partners daily with hardware and software engineering, QA (Quality Assurance), manufacturing, supply chain, support, sales, and customers in the field. Success in the first twelve months means measurable movement on product growth, competitive win rate, hardware reliability and RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) rates, gross margin, Central Management adoption, and time to deploy - not the volume of requirements written.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the vision, strategy, roadmap, requirements, packaging, competitive position, and lifecycle of the MetaDefender Kiosk hardware line across form factors, with initial focus on the Kiosk Desktop series
  • Own the hardware platform with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain - industrial design, performance, interfaces, thermals, component selection, BOM (Bill of Materials) and product cost, reliability, serviceability, and next-generation platforms
  • Own certification and compliance as a product deliverable - safety and emissions including FCC (Federal Communications Commission), CE (Conformité Européenne) and UL (Underwriters Laboratories), environmental compliance including RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) and REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals), and supply chain provenance including TAA (Trade Agreements Act) and NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act) Section 889 with country-of-origin documentation - and sequence that work so certification never becomes the constraint on a launch date
  • Know the hardware failure rate, why units are returned, which components create problems, and what customers love and hate about the physical product
  • Own pricing and the licensing model for the line - hardware plus subscription structures, support tiers, refresh and trade-in motions, and how the model evolves as the installed base grows - working with Finance on margin and Legal on terms
  • Define the product data and telemetry strategy for the fleet: what the appliance reports, how it reports it, and how OPSWAT builds real usage insight from customers running isolated and air-gapped deployments where conventional telemetry is not an option
  • Drive deep integration with My OPSWAT Central Management so customers running hundreds or thousands of units manage a fleet, not appliances — enrollment, policy distribution, updates, health, diagnostics, reporting, licensing, role-based access, and APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) across connected and isolated deployments
  • Own the security experience across the MetaDefender® platform - Multiscanning, Deep CDR™ Technology, AI-powered malware detection, sandboxing, Proactive DLP™ Technology, file vulnerability detection, media validation, and policy enforcement — and turn those technologies into workflows an operator finds simple
  • Work AI-natively with engineering: use modern AI and agentic tools to research problems, explore architectures, build prototypes and proofs of concept, analyze product data and logs, and validate ideas before committing significant engineering resource
  • Continuously reduce clicks, training, deployment time, and support cases across installation, activation, authentication, scan workflows, results, file transfer, updates, and troubleshooting
  • Equip the field and the channel - positioning, competitive framing, demo and evaluation configurations, partner-ready collateral, and launch readiness — and act as the escalation point for field and partner technical questions on the hardware line
  • Spend time on customer sites across energy, manufacturing, defense, government, transportation, and healthcare, watching how technicians, OT (Operational Technology) engineers, and administrators actually move data across security boundaries
  • Own quality - treat every recurring product problem as a product management problem and drive root cause to resolution with engineering, QA, manufacturing, and support
  • Own the business and the market - revenue, pipeline, win rate, installed base, ASP (Average Selling Price), hardware cost, gross margin, and attach rates - and know every serious alternative a customer could choose instead of OPSWAT

Qualifications

  • Seven or more years in product management, including proven ownership of a technically sophisticated product from strategy through delivery, adoption, and growth
  • Direct experience with products that combine hardware and software - appliances, devices, or edge systems - including cost, quality, and manufacturing readiness
  • Experience taking hardware products through regulatory certification and supply chain provenance requirements, including FCC, CE, UL, RoHS, REACH, and TAA or NDAA Section 889 country-of-origin obligations
  • Technical depth sufficient to hold meaningful conversations about hardware architecture, Windows and Linux, networking, APIs, security, system performance, logs, deployment, and enterprise management
  • Demonstrated AI-native working style, with concrete examples of using AI and agentic tools to research, prototype, analyze, test, document, and collaborate with engineering — an expectation of this role, not a nice-to-have
  • Strong customer instinct and willingness to travel up to 25%, including customer and partner sites in industrial and operational environments and visits to contract manufacturers, with the judgment to separate what customers ask for from the problem they need solved
  • Commercial ownership mindset across adoption, revenue, competitive win rate, quality, cost, margin, and customer satisfaction
  • Bias toward action - able to make good decisions without perfect information and keep engineering moving
  • Professional fluency in English

Nice-to-Have

  • Cybersecurity, critical infrastructure, or OT and industrial environments
  • Security appliances, removable media security, or edge computing
  • Hardware product development, manufacturing, supply chain, or failure analysis
  • Security and functional safety certification in a critical infrastructure context - FIPS (Federal Information Processing Standards) 140-3, Common Criteria, or IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) 62443
  • Centralized device or fleet management platforms
  • Malware prevention, file security, or enterprise security software
