Technical Presales Engineer

Location: India (Remote)

About ORO Labs:

ORO Labs is an agentic procurement orchestration company on a mission to humanize the procurement experience. Founded in 2020 by former SAP Ariba product leaders, ORO delivers effortless user experiences so businesses can shorten cycle times, decrease risk through end-to-end process visibility, and remain agile in response to change with a no-code platform purpose-built for procurement. Trusted by users in over 70 countries, and supported by an extensive network of implementation and technology partners, ORO helps Fortune 500 and fast-growing global companies automate processes, improve cross-team collaboration, and scale procurement operations. The ORO platform is trusted by the world’s largest brands, including The Coca-Cola Company, Novartis, Danone, Roche, BASF, Liberty Global, Bayer, Millennium, and Booking.com.

About the Role

ORO Labs is looking for a technically strong, customer-facing professional to support our PreSales team. This role bridges the gap between Sales, Implementation, and Product — providing deep technical expertise during the sales cycle and beyond. You'll work closely with PreSales Solution Consultants to help win enterprise deals, support prospect evaluations, and build the internal tools and knowledge that make the team faster and more effective.

Key Responsibilities

Integration & Technical Expertise

  • Serve as a technical subject matter expert on ORO's integration architecture, including API-based integrations with SAP Ariba, SAP S/4 HANA, Coupa, DocuSign, OneTrust, ServiceNow, and other enterprise systems
  • Answer detailed technical questions on API rate limiting, webhook vs. polling strategies, asynchronous queuing, retry logic, and downstream system availability — directly supporting RFP/RFI responses and live prospect calls
  • Proactively identify and raise integration architecture gaps to the product team (e.g., synchronous error handling for webhook-based integrations)
  • Support the creation of integration flow diagrams and sales-ready documentation that explains ORO's connectivity at a "sales level" — communicating breadth, depth, and differentiation without overwhelming prospects

Demo & POC Support

  • Build and configure demo environments and proof-of-concept (POC) instances tailored to prospect requirements, including configuring ORO realms with relevant tenant setups
  • Join prospect calls and demos to provide live technical support — answering integration and configuration questions on the spot so the PreSales lead can focus on the sales narrative
  • Conduct gap analysis on prospect use cases vs. ORO's current capabilities (e.g., Morgan Stanley Creative Services, Goldman Sachs), and clearly communicate findings to PreSales and Product teams
  • Support complex deal scenarios including PR engine demos, PO lifecycle management, supplier onboarding, budget validation via API action buttons, and AI agent showcases

Presales Enablement

  • Create reusable sales artifacts: integration flow templates, demo guides, cheat sheets, capability matrices, and "Do's and Don'ts" gap summaries for specific prospect use cases
  • Build and share enablement tools for the team — such as custom GPTs for ORO prompt engineering, Loom walkthroughs of new features, and roles & permissions guides
  • Keep the PreSales team current on differentiated capabilities (e.g., account assignment form, OCR-based bank detail extraction, AI agents) and advocate for consistent demo usage across the team
  • Support RFP/RFI responses with accurate, detailed technical content; flag when compliance or security questions should be escalated rather than answered by PreSales

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work alongside Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE), Implementation, and Product teams to stay current on new platform capabilities and real customer implementations
  • Serve as a liaison between PreSales and Implementation — providing continuity from "deal won" to "go-live," drawing on customer implementation learnings to sharpen future sales efforts
  • Flag product gaps identified during the sales cycle through the appropriate channels (e.g., #oro-product-questions) and advocate for PreSales-relevant enhancements
  • Coordinate with compliance, security, and legal teams on questionnaires and InfoSec reviews to ensure timely, accurate responses without creating PreSales bottlenecks

AI & Emerging Capabilities

  • Stay current on ORO's AI agent capabilities (Ask ORO AI, Opportunity Agent, Autonomous Negotiation Agent) and help PreSales teams articulate and demo these effectively for enterprise prospects
  • Prototype and explore integrations between ORO agents and partner/third-party agents (e.g., MCP server integrations) to stay ahead of the curve on agentic procurement workflows
  • Translate live customer AI go-lives (e.g., GSK Opportunity Agent + Autonomous Negotiation Agent) into compelling sales proof points

Ideal Background

  • 5+ years of experience in a technical presales, forward deployed engineering, implementation, or solution architect role within enterprise SaaS
  • Strong knowledge of procurement technology platforms (SAP Ariba, Coupa, S/4 HANA, or similar); prior Coupa JEDI/SME or Ariba integration experience is a strong differentiator
  • Hands-on experience with integration middleware (e.g., Workato) and API-based integrations, including webhooks, polling, and async queuing patterns
  • Comfortable explaining complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences — and equally comfortable jumping on a live call to field a tough integration question
  • Experience with supplier management, intake & orchestration, contract management, or PR/PO workflows is a strong plus
  • Track record of creating reusable enablement assets (flow diagrams, cheat sheets, demo environments, GPTs, Loom videos, etc.)
  • Prior exposure to AI/ML-powered product features and agentic workflows is a significant bonus
