About the Role
The Solutions Engineering team at Posit partners closely with our customers—especially their IT and SysAdmin groups—to ensure they get the most value from our professional products. We serve as proactive technical advisors, helping customers evaluate, configure, and deploy our tools effectively. Whether resolving issues, planning for future changes, or navigating complex environments, we work side by side with our customers to remove barriers and support their success.
As a Project Manager on this team, you’ll play a vital role in driving the success of our customer engagements. You'll provide structure, clarity, and coordination across a portfolio of complex IT projects—ensuring alignment between customers, engineers, and internal stakeholders throughout every phase of the project lifecycle. From initial planning to successful delivery, you’ll ensure we stay on track, meet deadlines, and deliver value.
What You'll Do
Project Leadership & Execution

Own a portfolio of 15-20 concurrent enterprise IT projects, ranging from implementations to migrations, architectural changes, and adoption of new use cases.

Drive end-to-end project planning and execution, including documenting scope, milestones, roles, risks, and dependencies.

Monitor and adjust project scope and timelines to accommodate changes and mitigate risk.

Manage and resolve risks, identifying issues early and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to remove blockers.

Interpret project-related contractual obligations and ensure compliance throughout delivery.
Communication & Stakeholder Management

Act as the primary point of contact for all project communications, updates, and escalations.

Coordinate and facilitate meetings, scheduling and leading internal and customer-facing sessions that promote engagement and accountability.

Drive alignment across Sales, Customer Success, Engineering, and Leadership to deliver cohesive, successful outcomes.

Support customer satisfaction and long-term retention through thoughtful delivery and relationship management—building referenceable accounts.

Escalate issues to management and surface insights that inform process improvements or resource planning.
Process & Documentation

Maintain clear, current, and accessible project documentation across systems such as Salesforce and project management tools.

Identify and share best practices that improve project delivery consistency and efficiency across the team.

Create repeatable processes and tools that make project management scalable as the team and customer base grow.

Improve internal collaboration by clarifying roles, handoffs, and shared responsibilities across departments.

Comfort managing and documenting project activity using systems like Salesforce, Jira, or similar tools.
