The Role

RocketReach is looking for a Controller to help support the continued expansion of the business. The Controller will be responsible for the development and implementation of the company’s control processes and accounting policies, maintaining the general ledger, leading the monthly close process, preparing monthly financial statements, managing tax, and treasury. This role is reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and is located on the East Coast in the United States.

We Are Looking For People Who

  • Obtained a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 10 years of accounting experience, preferably within the SaaS industry
  • Experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller at a Venture Capital or Private Equity backed company
  • Apply advanced knowledge of Excel to analyze financial data, create models, and streamline accounting processes
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP principles and standards in all financial activities and reporting, CPA preferred
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes

  • Lead the entire financial closing process, guaranteeing timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure the company adheres to all tax regulations and filing requirements
  • Own relationships with external auditors and tax advisors; manage annual audits and handle all tax-related workstreams.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance analysis, and other reports to provide insights to management and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and optimize efficiency in financial operations
  • Mentor and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth
  • Be a strategic partner to the Chief Financial Officer and the rest of the executive team
