JOB SUMMARY

Work with Storyblok’s dynamic legal team and support Storyblok in growing internationally playing a vital role in our day-to-day operations in the AMER region. Your responsibilities include advising on U.S. corporate, privacy, employment and labor law, leading SaaS contract negotiations, and supporting product and cybersecurity compliance initiatives. You will manage legal projects independently, guide business teams, and collaborate with external counsel as needed. While focused on the AMER region, you will also support legal initiatives in EMEA and APAC, contributing to global policies and aligning legal processes across regions. Additionally, you will provide legal training, empower team members to manage day-to-day legal tasks, and support the legal leadership in executing strategic priorities and continuous improvement efforts.

This role requires extensive collaboration with cross-functional teams across the company—including Sales, Marketing, Partners, Product, People, etc., to provide practical, business-minded legal support.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Draft, redline, negotiate, and review SaaS enterprise sales contracts including MSA, GTC/ToS, NDA, DPA, and other legal agreements
  • Advise on legal principles relating to data privacy, IP, information security, and corporate risk mitigation
  • Review and negotiate partnership agreements with our partners in AMER
  • Assist with review and negotiation of procurement and marketing contracts as needed
  • Be part of HR related projects & provide support for certain U.S. employment and labor law topics
  • Support in providing legal advice on new product initiatives that may be subject to U.S. regulation
  • Support the legal team in providing training to different teams (e.g. prepare and structure the information for training)
  • Support the legal team to build and maintain documentation for the whole team
  • Assist the legal team with different administrative tasks and projects
  • Provide accurate and concise legal research for topics requested from the team
  • Be an active part in our yearly legal review and legal improvement process - support in preparing the agenda & documentation as per the instructions of the legal team manager

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Law Degree and Bar Admission to at least one jurisdiction in the U.S.
  • 1-3 years of experience in reviewing and redlining contracts. SaaS or fast-paced tech experience providing support in-house to enterprise sales teams would be an asset.
  • Prior negotiation experience with complex corporate agreements
  • Strong understanding of commercial contracting and legal processes
  • Broad and in-depth specialized knowledge of AMER legal framework plus some knowledge of EMEA and APAC topics would be preferred

  • Skilled in providing concise legal advice to business teams
  • Ability to analyze the needs of different parties quickly and provide a creative solution
  • Reliable and accurate working style with attention to detail and ability to work independently on assigned tasks with little supervision
  • Understands complex legal and business processes
  • High motivation to build a project from scratch, rethink, and rework existing processes
  • Good organizational skills & well structured to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Acts like an owner in the workplace —proactive, resourceful, and solution-oriented
  • Overcomes challenges through teamwork, optimism, and just enough humor to keep the legal team exciting (without compromising professionalism of course)

U.S. Base Salary Range: $77,000 - $108,000

At Storyblok, we are committed to equitable compensation and pay transparency. We consider many factors when it comes to compensation, such as the scope of the role, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Our base salary ranges are determined by job and job level and are benchmarked to relevant location and industry data. The range displayed represents the target US base compensation range within which we are hiring for this role. For some roles Storyblok also offers a competitive commission structure.
